Our Story
Mendolia’s was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1947 by Vito and Josephine Mendolia. It became the first USDA inspected sausage company in Kansas City 1970 and began selling wholesale to local restaurants. After Vito passed away, his son, Peter, took over the operations of the company. Peter went on to produce a variety of sausage, always following what Vito taught him . . . trial and error . . . test and taste.
